After giving our dinner orders the server came back and told us they were out of about 4 things we ordered and we had to start all over again. Why can’t you just write it down first to be quick and then punch it in a testy iPad later? It is torture to be wanting a drink and you’re at the mercy of a server standing there complaining about how to work an iPad. A table of 5 people took us 17 minutes to give our drink and dinner order because of the iPad “rules.” It was a downer for sure. You cannot be talking to friends at a table and then have more friends come in and sit at the bar you are told bar or table but you can’t mingle because “it messes them up.” Servers have to take your table orders on an iPad and it’s by the far the most time consuming thing ever. You never know who to ask for something and when someone asks you if you need anything you have to explain your situation to them from the beginning taking up more time than if you just had one designated server.
